It doesn’t really take too much effort to imagine how the long and incredible history of Venice has left its mark on the cuisine today. A glance at some Venetian paintings from the sixteenth century lets us in on the food, its plating and how it was served and eaten at the time – and there are some similarities that haven’t changed much today.
